An Un-Civil War 💣

Brothers and Sisters, there is an un-civil war brewing

Bullets are flying, bombs are exploding

Rage is roaring its insatiable hunger for recognition

Innocents have fallen, never to rise, now sacrificial martyrs

The polarity is deepening….

We are policing each other
Even our friends are afraid to speak
That they may be cast out of our hearts
Then there are those that we don’t know
or those that we do,
who we are sure, have lost their way
They have become the monsters
The ignorant
The heathens
So sure that we know the right way.
Our way is THE way.
The narrow way.
Big enough for only one
Whose heart has closed tighter today
Not two holding hands
Or three huddling close to the fire of compassion
Or a caravan of laughing companions seeing the sparkle in each other’s soul

Brothers and Sisters, there is an un-civil war brewing
Bullets are flying, bombs are exploding
Rage is roaring its insatiable hunger for recognition
Innocents have fallen, never to rise, now sacrificial martyrs
Within our righteous mind.

Fear has come to town
Everyone is standing around
feeding on it,
like a ghost feeds on magnetic memories
caught in a loop, a circular hoop of half-baked, half-worn truths and dolled up, top-shelf lies

But fear when faced becomes a fortifier of strength…

A light in a dark, hidden space
Bringing a-ha’s, revelations and deepening faith
Deeper breath, connection, reflection
I see you, child of grace
Fireworks of creations perfection
Finding itself within your pace, your dance
Of courage to take a human form
To fall into darkness to be born to share your dragonfly song

To make darkness conscious
Till we all remember where we came from
Till we all remember where we came from
and who we really are…

Children of the stars
Gods pretending to be dreams

We were born to feel, to dance, to love, to open, to receive
To cry, to laugh, to touch, to care, to grieve
to forgive and be forgiven
becomes the sweetest gift
of re-membering
Oh, to see and be seen
Be-loved-ed
Together we breathe.
Sharing one air.
